Burglar Arrested in Alkapuri, Gold Worth ₹60 Lakh Recovered

A longtime burglar from Anand was caught by Vadodara’s crime branch after a bungled attempt to sell stolen items. Gold and silver ornaments valued at over ₹60 lakh were seized. The suspect admitted to several thefts and vehicle-related offenses.

 

 

2. Temple Burglars Nabbed in Karelibaug

Two criminals — Ajay Rajput and Rohan Rajmal — were arrested for breaking into Ma Amba Temple in Karelibaug. They stole donation boxes containing about ₹25,000. CCTV footage helped police identify them. Both have past records of burglary and theft.

 

 

3. SIM Box Scam: Three Arrested in Delhi by TN Cyber Cops

Cyber police from Tamil Nadu arrested three in Delhi for running a large-scale SIM box scam. These devices were reportedly used to bypass telecom billing systems and facilitate cyber fraud. Hotspots included Narela and Nilothi.

Police cracked down on a ₹100 crore cyber fraud ring. Five people were arrested, including a Nigerian national. The gang operated through fake identities on social media and matrimonial sites, coaxing victims via “gift parcels” and marriage-scams. Over 100 bank accounts were used in money-laundering.
